I painted this for my good friend Ariel for Christmas. I just now got to a point where I feel comfortable giving it to her.
I wanted to give her something that she couldn't get anywhere else, that utilized my skills, and also made her feel good about herself. She can be a little self deprecating at times, and I wanted her to see what I meant when I called her 'rubenesque'.
The painting is a lovely rendition of aphrodite.
