Alex and I went to the
Gourmet Food Truck Festival in Mira Mesa today. It was pretty fun. There weren't as many food trucks as there were on the website, and none that catered specifically to vegetarians, but I ended up with a full meal.
Alex and I thought it would have better if there was a festival menu. As it was we could only buy a full plate for the full amount. There could be no sampling unless I was with a big group. It would have been cool if I could have bought like one perogi for 1$ or one small frozen yogurt to sample....
We had fun though! Buffy came and was super adorable.

New York on the Rye |
These guys were
New York on the Rye. They had some cool vegetarian options based on potatoes. I had Latkas and Knish. They had this cool picture.

Alex got Pierogi |
We also got some Pierogi at the
Pierogi Truck. I've never had Pierogi before and its crazy delicious.

Buffy got super duper cold. It was adorable and tragic. We had to leave early, before we even got custard because she started shaking uncontrolably. |

The food we bought. |
The highlight was the homemade apple sauce for the latkes from New York on the Rye. It was delicious. It was thick like chutney. And dense.

These Pierogi are of the mushroom and kraut variety. I might have ruined our trip by being vegetarian. |
