New Rope Part 2: Santee Boulders

I was itching to go on a second outing this weekend. I wanted to exercise new rope privileges.  I know that the dog pile in santee boulders has a really newbie friendly setup so we went there. I have come so far in climbing. I may not be as muscular as I once was, but I am really building my confidence up again fast.

I setup the route myself and that is quite an achievement for me.

We found just the most perfect ever belay station for Alex.
Here are my new positron quickdraws!
 View from the top.
Alex commented on how incredibly beautiful and verdant it was at Santee boulders today.
This is Alex's second ever rappell.
Better photo of alex at the belay station.
It was actually quite a short day. Alex doesn't have the stamina for climbing that I do yet. Actually, climbing with him feels like reliving all the growing pains that I had when I started. Hes got achey toes and can't stand wearing his shoes for very long. He also wearing out his hands and feet clinging onto thin edges. Its probably for the best, because I'm actually not at the best of shape anyway, and a little bit often is better than none at all.
I hope I get to go out every weekend!
