I hurt my right foot during a fall last week. I am desperately trying to rest up and shape up for Joshua Tree at the end of the month, so I tried to minimize the amount of time I spent hiking. That in mind, we went to the easily accessible Santee Boulders. I also got to break in my new San Diego Climbing guide, which I have already duely taped together. This time we explored Santee boulders "left" which includes the snow cone and the dog pile

The weird thing about the dog pile is that it is rated very highly... the 5.8 and 5.9 I believe, but the 11d and 12a were literally overrated. literally.

There were a lot of liebacks today and it turns out that I am very very bad at bouldering. I managed to climb the 5.7 on the butplug and was terrified of the climb down. I realized I never climbed down before.
I'm having a lot of great fun climbing outdoors! I hope the next set will be next sunday
