Eat-at-Home Day 6

After run snack
So far we've been to Costco, Sprouts, and Barons and probably have spent just as much as we would just going to Rubios. One good part about this is I can stay 100% gluten free and I don't feel like I am inconveniencing anyone doing it. My 7 mile long run didn't go well today because I cheaped out last night by only eating a bag of fatty chips. I had a blood sugar crash and ended up walking around mile 5. I pulled through but now I have to make sure to eat like an adult.
After run I had some rice cakes covered in almond butter served with some pomegranate juice.

Then we made some Gluten Free Rice Pasta with made-from-scratch tomato sauce and big chunks of cheddar cheese. Alex loved this one. I guess the tomato sauce wasn't REALLY made from scratch since its based on a can of diced tomatoes. Since we get the Cheddar cheese and box of cans of diced tomatoes from costco I think this meal only costs about $1.50. What would really make this meal healthy is if we could get some quinoa pasta and get some protein up in this joint.
Midafternoon meal
Alex really classed this meal up by serving the cheddar cheese on the cutting board.

Then later I cut up some baby tomatoes and served 'em up caprese style. I didn't have fresh basil so I had to use the rubbed type. Alex said the cheese was good.
