I took a special trip to the Seattle Art Museum and thought it deserved its own post. Photo above is apart of the Olympic Sculpture Park.
A particularly striking exhibit was the transtextuality exhibit.
I was also quite fascinated with the 50 works for 50 states exhibit which showcased the curiously extensive art collection of two particularly prolific everyday art collectors.
The museam had a lovely classic and ancient permanant collection.
The main show was the 30 years of Japanese fashion exhibit which was just so freaking beautiful. This exhibit changed my life. I wasn't allowed to take photos for copyright reasons, but I did do some sketches and take some notes.
Then they took my pen.
I spent 3 hours of the museum but I only got to see about 60% of it. Maybe I will have time to go back during my visit here.
