I learned about a man today that made me question the whole institution of higher education. This man to the left here is Jonathon Sharkey: presidential candidate 2012 , a gubernatorial candidate for Minnesota 2006, a sociopath, a vampire, a kidnapper, and a criminal in three states. He is also allegedly a Ph.D in political science. I can NOT find any information supporting his educational background. His wikipedia page has been deleted. No one knows what university nor what specialization he got this degree at. For all anyone knows, he bought it off the internet.
Its driving me nuts. Why should someone like me aspire towards a Ph.D if any attention seeking nutjob on the street can get one?
Update: To satisfy my curiosity, I decided to email Jonathon Shakey. He was kind enough to respond.

Southern Christian University in Lake Charles, LA. However, was destoryed by Katrina in August 2005.
I am unaware how to get a copy of it. I think I still have a 3x5 floppie disk of it somewhere.
It was about the fact Judges are politicians, just like Congressman, Senators...
Because Judges have to run for office. They have fundraisers. they are party affiliated. They have to make deals to get into office.
Hence, when the ESTABLISHMENT calls, they must do the will of their master! Which means, Justice is not served properly.

I don't buy it. Lake Charles was not affected by Hurricane Katrina.
I looked up Southern Christian University in Lake Charles, and I just can't find it. The only thing on the internet that suggests that someone has thought to string those words together before is a post by a Mr. Hardy Parkerson, Atty. He touts that Southern Christian University is a good school, having not only a law school, but also a nursing school. He claims that he is on the board of regents. Hardy Parkerson resigned under threat of disbarment for legal misconduct.
I found another cryptic post by someone apparently affiliated with Southern Christian University. He stated that "all Universities are phony, just some more than others"
The real Southern Christian University is located in Montgomery Alabama. He picked a university name sounding real enough to warrant not checking, small sounding enough to not be surprised by a lack of website, and common enough to confuse a google search.
Finally, I went to the Database of Accredited Postsecondary Institutions and Programs. Surprise surprise, Its not listed.
I have a hunch that anyone can say they have a Ph.D from Southern Christian University in Lake Charles, L.A.

So I uncovered the truth all by myself. Where does that get me? I can't change his linkedin credentials, I can't change his documentary to bleep out the Ph.D. He is ruining the title Ph.D for everyone and I can't do anything to stop him.
