Self Magazine's Drop 10 challenge

I picked up an issue of Self Magazine while at a Wal-Mart in Phoenix Arizona three days ago. A good half of the magazine was about the Drop 10 challenge. This is some sort of 5 week program where you are supposed to drop 10 pounds by following a structured diet and fitness plan. This sounded pretty appealing to me because I told myself that I would finally have time to get in shape once I was out of college. I signed up and I was excited to be already getting the spam in my email with recipes and workouts.

That is well and good, but I can already tell that its not going to work.
1) the website is too hard to use. There are so many cluttering advertisements and buttons I have to press by the time I have logged in I've already run out of patience.
2) there is no way to tell the program that I am a vegetarian. This renders the daily recipes almost useless. This also makes the logging calories portion exponentially more complicated. The only way to log calories that I've noticed is to log the meal that they suggested.
3) The emails are so full of pictures that I am unable to casually read the messages on my phone. I seldomly read emails on computers anymore. There is a Self App out there, but its only for the workouts.

I am going to stick with it as long as I can regardless, probably going to have to limit myself to the workouts. I'll let you know how it goes.
