Alex and I were hoping to spend some together time today. We are finding now that living together makes it hard to make quality time that doesn't directly have to do with maintaining our house.
So we went to balboa park to see the sights and soak up some culture.
We went to the photography museum which we ironically couldn't take any photos at, the natural history museum, and the botanical garden. We also ate at the Japanese friendship garden.

You can see The Casa Del Prado Theater from the Natural History Museum. |
Are they for sure for sure how to put those bones together? |
This was a cool artifact from the chocolate exhibit. |
The skull exhibit at The Natural History Museum had this neat Owl skull. No dog skulls though. |
My photography is a little weak. If I did this right the pink would just jump off the page. Taken at the botanical garden. |
Sunbeam at the botanical garden. Buffy would have loved to be here. |
Of course Alex had to take the best photo of the day. Taken outside of the Japanese friendship garden. On the way out by the way. |
Koi Pond outside of the botanical garden. |
Autumn display at botanical garden. |
Ram skull. They left the keratin on this one. |
A massive shark suspended from the ceiling, at the Natural history museum. |
This is one of the coolest ideas of the day. It is just so freaking steam punk. A horse with a gas mask? Is the horse also fighting a cyberwar against the ghosts of mars? |
Stick horse. |
A classic Balboa Park image. |
Taken outside of the Japanese friendship garden. The photo looks great even without a polarizing or UV filter. |
WARHORSE. Intense |
