Balboa Park — Whoa Maria

Alex and I were hoping to spend some together time today. We are finding now that living together makes it hard to make quality time that doesn't directly have to do with maintaining our house.
So we went to balboa park to see the sights and soak up some culture.

We went to the photography museum which we ironically couldn't take any photos at, the natural history museum, and the botanical garden. We also ate at the Japanese friendship garden.

There was this horse exhibit at the Natural history museum.

The skull exhibit at The Natural History Museum had this neat Owl skull. No dog skulls though.

This is one of the coolest ideas of the day. It is just so freaking steam punk. A horse with a gas mask? Is the horse also fighting a cyberwar against the ghosts of mars?
