We had a large model hand |
I got my first stab at a new genre today. That genre is Product Photography. My newest client is selling these wares at shopenvy. I think that if you click on that link soon enough, you'll see her before photos and you'll decide that I deserve accolades for how much of an improvement this is
This is my best photo. |
I did an excellent freaking job. The light scenarios are gorgeous and I really brought out the potential these pieces had to offer.
some things were harder than others to photograph. |
I was particularly happy with that hand, that beautiful model hand that June had to show off her jewelry. I did some photoshop tricks that I know June can't use because product photography is not about making art, and I'm afraid a few of these may deceive what the product actually looks like.
I am putting them here because this is the only place where they will see the light of day. It is so surreal. I am tripping balls. They are like alien hands that reach out from under my bed at night.
I know a lot of people wouldn't agree, but light made this shoot. I got interesting dimension because of my light paths and goodness, they would have been flat pieces of wire without my incredibly skillful hand in creating these images. I really hope that June is happy with them, because I sure am.
The 30 Photoshoot speedlight challenge is a Self Challenge where I attempt to learn as much as I can about single source lighting before I graduate to adding a second source to my kit! The reward of course is a second speedlight. I do my best to be reflective about my experiences to make them as instructive as possible.
