Sunday night fall |
Shooting in raw has been amazing for me. I am one of those people that like when my photos are like, really unnatural looking. I mean, you see regular life with your bare eyes. Be it fisheye photography, massive amounts of light, or HDR, I like to make photos look more unusual than life. Maybe that is why I am so bad at street photography!
Anyway, as a brand new Adobe lightroom owner, I have been playing around with my high contrast capabilities by playing around with highlights, contrast, and shadows.. I am using some photos taken during a walk to my grocery store as a case study. These are still basic capability changes, but I have to start somewhere. I think they look amazing, but I hope I wont regret jacking up the contrast in the future when I am trying to remember what life was like in Rancho Bernardo
Its notable that these photos were taken at near nightfall.

If this were real HDR, those clouds would pop off the screen |
Taking a picture of a gas station cigarette advertisement reminded me of some of
Flo Fox's stuff.

The mountains in the background draw the eyes directly into the photo. |

The contrast tool really made the pavement pop in the reflection. I love this Photograph |

This is what the photo looks like in camera, but there was enough ambient light for this one to not need much post processing. |

The vibrance tool helped bring the blue out of the sky. |
