How does photography end up in galleries? I found out about the Detroit 1968 by Enrico Natali show in the Joseph Bellows gallery through the San Diego Photography Collective meetup group. If you went on Saturday November 2nd from 6-8pm, you had a chance to meet with the artist. I didn't have anything to say to the artist. I found the photography interesting. It must have been hard to curate this many photographs from that particular year, thats for sure, but I'm sure any newspaper library would have photography just as telling if not more.

A lot of his art takes the form of informed street portraiture, something I am very bad at.  I actually didn't spend more than 15 minutes at the gallery, but it is definitely something I would do again.

I have a few models in the mix for the upcoming week, but I am learning that the longer it takes to coordinate meeting someone, the more likely it is that they will just stop talking to you. For instance, I had three photoshoots booked for today, and all three of them were canceled for one reason or another. Look out for Stephanie's photos in the future! I am still ironing out photo use privileges, they are THAT good.
