On My Radar... January

1. Nikon Shutter Remote. Again. I want to improve my art of the selfie. (Ala Cindy Sherman)

2.Skis. I bet you are tired of symbolic "on my radar" items. I want to improve my Skiing. Maybe not this month, but maybe sometime this season. My trip to lake tahoe really introduced something major to my world. Too bad this white collar sport is like whoa expensive. It never hurts to dream, though.

3. Skii Gloves. I think I really need these if I go skiing again. My chawon mittens just didn't cut it because the wool soaked up water and did not let it go. While I will continue to hire ski's I will have to buy my own gloves. Probably a mask as well.A great time to get those is during the 20% off ebay sale. (that link only works until January 9th)

4. Kiels Hand lotion. For whatever reason, I heard this lotion was the best. My trip to Joshua tree not only left me dehydrated, it left me dessicated. I bought three new types of lotion in the past week and have been lathering it on like crazy. That and a constantly refilled camel pack is bringing me back to normal.

5. White nail polish. I was thinking wearing white will make sunny california feel more like winter. Also, White nail polish is totally girl with curves.

Girl with curves rocking white nail polish with every outfit.
 6. Kate Spade Stacy Wallet. I have been eyeing me a kate spade wallet for months now. I used to have a wallet I loved, but it grew far too big to use in my new go-to bag which is a small turquoise cobble hill purse. The stacy wallet does not have a zipper, making it the most compact bifold wallet in the Kate Spade collection.

7. ASOS Silver Loafers. I love these and they also appeared in my December "on my radar".
I haven't bought them quite yet because I am starting to appreciate the used look of my kate spade gwen's. I used to think they looked old and trashy, now they just look like a real person's shoes.

8. Crag Pants. I recently bought some light wieght crag pants but it would be nice to fit in just that extra bit more. I need to stock up on climbing gear in general.

9. Joshua Tree Rock Climbing Guide by Randy Vogel. This falcon guide was super important during my trip to indian cove in Joshua Tree. Its too bad that the next edition "Joshua tree west" doesn't include information on Indian Cove. Sure, they are planning to put out multiple volumes, but you aren't planning on bringing your library when you are at the campsite. The older, more comprehensive versions are harder to find now.

10. Down Vest. These are getting really popular lately. I saw them all over Lake Tahoe and I really wish I owned one by the time I sat around the campfire in Joshua Tree. It just feel like these are a tad expensive. I scoured REI and several outlet malls to find the perfect one, and by the time I found one that fit, the price kept me from pulling the trigger.

11. Approach Shoes. These adidas ones are extra slick. Too bad they don't make a women's version this rad. Being called "mens" never kept me from buying something, but it makes the sizing that much more difficult when purchasing them online. I haven't yet seen them in person. The Joshua tree trip taught me that approach shoes are a necessity for both extending the life of my climbing shoes and making it safer and easier to do the class 4 climbs on the way to the crag.

Thats it! These collages are really fun, and help me really sort out a romantic display of my perfect life.
