I noticed that people in California don't really have collections. Is it just a midwest thing? I had several collections growing up, and they have only gotten more expensive and discreet over time. Have a collection brings new purpose to combing antique malls and yard sales. In the midwest, these items are as prevalent as front yards.
My dad has a rad new collection, and I got a chance to photograph it during this trip. He buys antique bikes and puts engines on them. It is amazing, and more hipster than he could ever comprehend. He has several bikes taken on the way and two that are fully complete, a 1953 Jaguar and a 1960 Panther, as awesomely named as luxury cars.
