Did you know that I used to work in old town? I was once a shop girl at Cousins Candy Shoppe. I remember these months fondly. I shared the infectious enthusiasm of San Diegos day trippers and ate my fill of candy every single day.

We were in the area anyway because of my weekly stint at the Mission Valley Resort Hotel so we decided to grab an early dinner at officially my favorite restaurant in all of San Diego,
Cafe Coyote. I also wanted to visit the
Whaley House because I had just watched a hokie movie called "
The Haunting of the Whaley House" in honor of the scariest month.

I mentioned to the lady that rang me up that I used to work at cousins candy shoppe 8 years ago or so and she had me talk to her Manager... and it was the same manager, Lisa! I couldn't believe it. She obviously didn't remember me since the turnover is so high at this particular location, but it was still wonderful to have a connection to the past.
