It has been a few calendar year since I've gone sking last. You may have remembered it. I've been waiting for this week all year. Not only do I dream of skiing, but this is one of the best ways to see friends that have since got further intrenched in their own lives.
We stayed in Big Bear and skied at Bear Mountian
We used AirBNB to rent the most nuts cabin ever for 4 days.

It has a pool table a hot tub and this awesome antler chandlier.
The first morning, My friend Megan made cinnamon rolls.
There were board games!
Bacon was also made.
We had a lesson first thing in the morning so we walked 8 minutes to the Big Bear Ski Resort.
The lift area was only a block away!
The check-in process was arduous, and I had to do a lot of it in Ski Boots which I hate.
Our lesson was amazing. Big bear has the largest beginners area in Southern California and our group had only 3-5 people in it (depending if it was morning or afternoon session). They started out by teaching us how to stop, which I had mixed experiences with. It was good that I was in the absolute beginners class because my stopping needed some work.
I used the magic carpet for the first time which was fun! These are Alex's iphone photos by the way.
We had about a two hour lunch before we met for the afternoon class. I was still feeling good.
That is me on the Ski lift!
View from the lift!
I still have a dorky wide stance.
Here I am on a particularly fun part of Easy Street.
We closed the park down, waiting until the lifts closed before we started the walk back home.
We did some light hot tubbing afterwards, which i would totally show you a photo of if the photo was of just me haha.
Dinner time with hot links vegetables and mulled wine
Cookie Decorating!
We have two more days that potentially have skiing, but the odds of going out again are pretty dicey. I am looking forward to hanging around the cabin, cleaning up a bit, and relaxing just a tad.
