3 Possible Venues

Alex and I visited three possible wedding venues suggested by our wedding planner today. All of them were better than the only other venue we have ever visited. I believe this is the benefit of having a planner. The three we visited were Marina Village, Soledad Club, and The Rose Creek Cottage.

So far I like Marina Village the best. I could tell that the soledad club was massive but we might not have enough people to fill up the space. It also might be the planner in me, but I could see the whole situation coming together better with Marina Village. It was more... inclusive.  We could have our ceremony on the North Lawn then get people together for the reception in one of the conference halls.

This photo is of the Nautical Room. This room fits our original estimation of 60 people and has a neat bar area as well. I originally cried when I saw this room online because there were gross aquarium murals where the white area is now. I am so glad they painted over them.

Alex made all my photos better by posing in them. The room comes with chairs and tables.

The room has a neat little bar area.
 There is also a stage.
The outside looked nice as well.
The room is right next to the marina.

I took a peek at one of the rooms that was all set up for a wedding later that day.

The next venue we visited was the soledad club. We didn't have a reservation or anything but we got to see what the grounds were like.

There was a really neat wrap around porch. They also had a little arch in the back yard to stand in for some sort of ceremony.

The view was very nice. But I didn't think that it was say, nicer than marina village.

The third location was Rose Creek Cottage. I didn't like this one as much. From what I saw, it was very small location. We were shooed away pretty quickly though, there was a wedding happening.

At this point, i'm not quite sure what we are going to do. I am leaning toward Marina Village myself, but I have a feeling I am going to change my mind a time or two before we put money on the table.
