1. Fall Semester starts in Two Weeks! I feel completely not
ready for this. I am planning to take a course at Mesa and at State. I’ll be
paying a bit more for the privilege of taking courses at two separate colleges,
but the schedule will be a bit easier with the manufacturing process we are
developing at work.
2. My PMP studying is
going okay. I have a plan to complete my online course at Vision Training
Systems by the time Fall semester starts but I don’t know how much I’ve
absorbed in such an accelerated timeline. There are 4 day crash courses for
this test, so this has got to be better than that, right?
3. Buffy is taking an adult education course at Petco. It is
the most adorable thing ever. I can’t wait to be proud of her when she earns
her completion certificate. Maybe we’ll take advantage of Michael’s custom
framing offers finally. Those things are always 40 percent off of 60 percent
off am I right?
4. I have really been getting into Scrapbooking lately.
There is definitely a skill to it, and I am really not good at it. I have
always kept a journal and maintained a general obsessiveness about documenting
my own life, but this undertaking can potentially take my journal to new
heights. It hasn’t been the first time I have experimented with papercrafts in
general.
5. I just finished reading the book “Summer Sisters” by Judy
Blume. I have been detecting some Judy Blume Mania lately with the publishing
of her new book for the first time in 17 years, so I had to jump on board even
a little. I didn’t read the new one, but I think I want to. Summer Sisters was
really sweet. It reminded me of my friendship with Alva, except like, way less
toxic.
6. 6 weeks until the wedding! Invitations are just going
out.
7. I recently picked up the book “The Crimson Petal and the
White” by Michael Fabor while visiting Book-Off. I read a book recently by him,
“The Book of Strange New Things” that I was pretty neutral about, but sources
say “The Crimson Petal and the White” is his piece de resistance. He has such a
contemplative writing style that its easy to get completely blasted by a wave
of stream of consciousness narrative. It is also difficult to stay focus.
8. I got my haircut for the first time in like a year. It
looks great. My stylist, Megan, was fantastic. She suggested I color my hair.
This is the first time a hairstylist has ever suggested I color my hair. I was
lead to believe that my hair is already the most perfect color it could be. I
am thinking about it. I wouldn’t color it before the wedding.
9. I bought a Beauty Blender. The makeup Artist who did my
face for the engagement portraits used it, but she also used liquid foundation.
Maybe I should start wearing liquid foundation? Either way I should probably
start wearing more foundation. The pink egg makes it look fabulous.
10. We booked a cake from It’s a Piece of Cake as recently
as today. It had the most delicious samples of the options, and this place was
referred to me from 3 people. It must be good if that’s the case, right? We
will see what it looks like, but I gave the following photo to the baker as an
inspiration image.
I like simple cakes.
Thats it for now! Until the next update, yeah?
