Climbing in Santee Boulders

 My friends and I went to Santee Boulders this weekend. I am really proud of myself for doing the climbs I did this time. Last time I went I was really scared of the whole bouldering aspect of it. I went to the gym 3 times this last week just to focus on my bouldering technique and I think it really paid off. I wasn't afraid to keep trying the climbs like I normally have been.

First we went to the amphitheater to cater to some of our first time outdoor climbers.

Giang did a great job! 

Maciek really killed it on the face climbs.

 Some of my friends were working on this really awesome V3 bouldering move way over on beehive wall. It is when you start at masochists crack and switch over to the V0 boulder.

 Ron showed us how it was done.

 

This v3 is called "the cross" 

 I stood on a boulder between 2 rocks to take from above photos.

 And someone took photos of me climbing for once!

 Its awesome they got this photo of me on masochists crack.

I did it!

I think we have mt woodsen slated for next weekend!
